WELCOME TO THE HOME OF ACNA CHAPLAINS
The Special Jurisdiction for the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy for the Anglican Church in North America supports the endorsement and care of chaplains serving in the US military, federal and local government, hospital and hospice, law enforcement, and other vocational and volunteer chaplains who seek to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to a lost and hurting world.
With more than 200 chaplains as of 2025, more than 150 of them serving as active-duty military chaplains, the Special Jurisdiction is the principal endorser of ACNA military chaplains in the United States.
Established under the ACNA's canons, the Special Jurisdiction provides leadership, pastoral care, and oversight for ACNA clergy serving as chaplains to ensure these chaplains remain connected to the wider church in their unique callings and provide spiritual covering for their families and ministries.

ARMED FORCES CHAPLAINS
Our ACNA military chaplains bring their distinctive liturgical tradition and sacramental ministry to military bases, onboard ships, and in forward operating posts serving all brances of the US Military. Our ACNA military chaplains serve all military personnel with equal dedication, whether they're counseling a soldier struggling with PTSD, leading prayers before a mission, deploying with soldiers, jumping into warzones, facilitating religious education programs, leading a Sunday Holy Eucharist service, leading morning or evening prayers, or simply being a trusted presence during the isolation of deployment.

HOSPITAL & PRISON CHAPLAINS
Hospital and hospice chaplains work as part of the healthcare team, participating in ethics consultations, supporting staff through moral distress and burnout, and helping patients navigate the spiritual dimensions of suffering, healing, and mortality. Our chaplains comfort families in the most diffacult moments of life. Anglican prison chaplains, meanwhile, minister within correctional facilities where they conduct religious services, lead Bible studies and prayer groups, provide one-on-one pastoral counseling, and help inmates process guilt, seek forgiveness, and find redemption in Christ.

COMMUNITY CHAPLAINS
Anglican community chaplains serve as spiritual anchors in diverse civilian settings, bringing pastoral care to workplaces, police and fire departments, sports teams, airports, and community organizations where people may be disconnected from traditional parish life. They offer crisis counseling after workplace tragedies, provide spiritual support to first responders dealing with trauma, lead prayers at civic events, and create sacred space in secular environments where people spend most of their waking hours. Community chaplains often minister to those who would never enter a church building.
Authentically Anglican, Biblically faithful - ACNA Chaplains support the Global Anglican Communion.
The Special Jurisdiction for the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy supports the Global Anglican Futures Conference and endorses the 2008 Jerusalem Declaration. GAFCON is a global movement, gathering authentic Anglicans, guarding God’s gospel, growing orthodox leaders, and generating missional resources, for the glory of God!
Called to serve around the world, ACNA Chaplains serve in a variety of assignments and duty stations around the world and often serve as visiting clergy in other GAFCON affiliated provinces where and when possible.
