Join us for a historic occasion as Bishop Jerome (Jay) R. Cayangyang is installed as the second Bishop of the Special Jurisdiction for the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). This ceremony celebrates his leadership and spiritual guidance for our chaplains serving our military members, veterans, federal agents, prisoners, hospital patients, and their families across the Anglican Church in North America.

 

Bishop Julian Dobbs, Dean of the ACNA, will preside over the event.  In attendance will be numerous other bishops and US Government representatives.

Bishop, Special Jurisdiction for the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy
Bishop Cayangyang previously served as Suffragan Bishop of the Special Jurisdiction. He currently serves as Deputy Chaplain of the Marine Corps for Reserve Matters, and most recently served as the Rector of Bishop Seabury Anglican Church in Gales Ferry, Connecticut. Bishop Cayangyang has more than 35 years of active and reserve military service, including two combat deployments to Iraq.

*All ACNA Clergy will be invited to process

 

Military Personnel & Non-ACNA Military Chaplains: Service Dress Uniform* is encouraged.

*Or equivalent formal uniform

 

All Other Guests: Business attire or "Sunday Best" is encouraged.

(Festive touches in red are welcome but not required.)

The Special Jurisdiction for the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy of the Anglican Church in North America is the official home for ACNA-endorsed Chaplains. The ACNA has two official Chaplain Endorsers registered with the Armed Forces Chaplains Board:  Bishop David Bena (Diocese of the Living Word). The ACNA Chaplains are led by the Right Reverend Jerome (Jay) R. Cayangyang, Captain, Chaplain Corps, United States Navy, as the Second Bishop of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy.  The Reformed Episcopal Church is a founding “sub-jurisdiction” of the Anglican Church in North America and has its own ecclesiastical endorser for all chaplains who are canonically resident with the Reformed Episcopal Church.
